  Activities and Achievements of AYUSH are as follows:  

An outlay of Rs. 26.00 crore for Annual Plan and Rs. 96.62 crore for Non-Plan has been approved during the year 2014-15.

Infrastructure for Drug Testing Laboratory has been created in the Campus of Shri Krishna Govt. Ayurvedic Kurukshetra. The man power has been sanctioned by the Government and recruitment is under process.

The building of Govt. Ayurvedic Pharmacy has been completed in the Campus of Shri Krishna Govt. Ayurvedic College, Kurukshetra and is likely to be functional during this year.

Govt. is opening a new Govt. Ayurvedic College & Hospital in the name of Late Sh. Baba Kheta Nath at village Pattikara (Narnaul) and construction work of college/Hospital is almost complete.

A four day State Level Arogya Fair has been organized from February 20 to February 23 to make people aware of the AYUSH Systems and to show case the achievement/activities of the department.

National AYUSH Mission has been launched in the state with objectives to strengthen the AYUSH Health Services, AYUSH Education System, Quality Control of AYUSH Drugs and Cultivations of Medicinal Plants.


To promote Yoga and Ayurveda in the State, Swami Ram Dev, the Yoga Guru has been designated as Brand Ambassador for the State. With his help, the 6500 villages would be covered for yoga training to the people living in these villages.

The State is being developed as a capital of Yoga and Ayurveda and a World Class Yoga and Naturopathy Centre is to come up at Panchkula.

A Pyramidal shape conference/training hall will be constructed in the premises of Institute of Indian System of Medicine & Research(IISM&R), Sector-3, Panchkula. This facility will be developed as a “Centre of Excellence” in Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani and Homeopathic Disciplines.

Creation of a ‘World Herbal Forest’ has been planned for the State for conservation of over 25000 species of medicinal plants in the Morni and Aravalli Hills.

An outlay of Rs. 50.00 crore for Annual Plan and Rs. 112.97 crore for Non-Plan has been Proposed during the year 2015-16.
